Speaking as someone who works in the marketing industry, can I just say that I, and my entire demographic of “adult geeks with significant disposable incomes” are feeling a little left out here?  Seriously, I normally have a ceiling of about $15 I will pay for a pair of sneakers.  I would go up to $75 if they made velcro Spider-Man cross-trainers in, say, a men’s size 12.  In addition, I am even prepared to double that ($150 for those of you who don’t do the math) if they would add the skates in.  I have looked and looked everywhere, going through all 128 pages of men’s shoes at Zappos.com, and come up with nothing. It is a crime, a crime I say that we are continuously discriminated against and forced to wear “conventional footwear.”
